     Our class has celebrated poetry month by reading, writing and listening to many different poems.  

      Below is a poem our class wrote together.  

I'm sitting on my front porch, watching the world go by

Trees and flowers swaying in the wind                                                         People walking, cars passing by                                                                  And planes overhead

 Butterflies fluttering, cows eating                                                                   People mowing, Flowers blooming                                                              And ants scurrying on my front porch                                                            

Kids laughing, dogs barking                                                                            A car passes by honking their horn                                                                And bees buzzing in my ear

Fresh cut grass, campfire burning,                                                                 Horses, fragrant flowers                                                                                 And the fresh spring air

I'm sitting on my front porch, watching the world go by
